I don’t want to believe that Jake isn’t here. I remember when we would write letters to each other. They were filled with love and support. I’ll hold on to that. He looked out for me like a big brother should. I’ll think of Jake every time I hold on to the blankie he got for my daughter, his niece. Which has since been passed on to my other daughters. I respected my brother. He went through more than most could. We shared a bond that was unconditional. I love him with all my heart and always wanted to see him succeed. I just wish I could have said that one more time.
Jake loved Jesus along the way, even though he felt powerless at times, he always kept his faith. He belongs to Jesus, who held on to him through it all.
