Janet K. James

Janet Kay James, 71, a Cape Coral, FL resident for the past 27 years, formerly of Laurence Harbor, NJ passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Ft. Myers, FL. She was born December 11, 1944 to Leon Cesar Smith and Elizabeth Cardell, now deceased.

Janet was of the Catholic faith. She was a loving mother and wife.

She is survived by two children and three step children; Jason James (Christine) of Cape Coral, Jared James of Cape Coral, John James(Dianne) of Cedar Grove, NJ, Laura De Pasquale (Gerald) of Silva, NC, and Mark James (Michelle) of Belvedere, NJ; a brother, Leon Smith (Margie) of Coleman, AL; nine grandchildren, Logan, Kara, John, Joey, Andrea, Cristyn, Tyler, Ryan, and Teagan; a great grandchild, Alissa; a niece, Cheryl Manzella (Mike) of Homedale, NJ; as well as an aunt, Catherine Foster of West Milford, NJ.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, John William James in 2013.

A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Cape Alliance Church, 4307 Skyline Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33914.
