Jan: A warrior, leader and all-around brilliant woman. I will miss you and you in your cute red shoes! You added so much to my life and my mothers and as our founder and facilitator of our monthly Arts Alliance Gallery Book Club meetings: great friendships, discussions and books…all because of you!

Jan your gift for creating community will be felt for years to come through your volunteer work and as the leader of Alliance for the Arts book club. The rich discussions you lead were always stimulating and focused ( with your deft leadership). Your interesting personal experiences, which you generously shared, helped to add intellect to our gatherings. We will miss you as we continue the book club. You will be fondly remembered.

Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened. – Dr. Seuss

I’ll smile forever thinking of Jan Palmer. I am so grateful that our paths crossed in this life. Her stories, photography, brilliance, perseverance, matter of fact way to look at life and dedication to the people and causes she believed in made life better. Jan was fiercely beautiful and beautifully fierce. She will be fiercely missed.
