Jaya Shree Rucker
Jaya Shree Rucker, 18, a North Ft. Myers resident since she was 18 months old, formerly of India, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 in North Ft. Myers. She was born May 10, 1998.
Jaya was a member of Grace Church and attended North Fort Myers High School. She was also a remarkable athlete who was active in basketball, track, and volleyball. She was incredibly creative and had a passion for videography and photography. With an unstoppable, free spirit, she had an amazing passion for life. One look at her smile, and you were forever touched. Forgiveness had no boundaries with Jaya. The love she had for her boyfriend was incredible and she was the absolute definition of unconditional love.
She is survived by her parents, Bryan and Tami Rucker of North Ft. Myers; four siblings, Lexi Greene and husband Robert of North Ft. Myers, Lukas and Analijah Rucker both of North Ft. Myers, and Ruth Roux and her husband Matt of Asheville, NC; and two nieces, Ellie Greene and Addison Roux; three aunts, Teri Stanton and her children, Nicholas and Anna Stanton of North Ft. Myers, Joyce Campbell and her husband Pete and their sons, Will and Petey all of Fort Myers, FL and Yvonne Williams and her children, Lisa and Drew all of New Port Richey, FL; an uncle, Will Rucker and his wife Teresa and their daughter Grace of Bonita Springs, FL; as well as extended family members, the Mosley family.
Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at Grace Church, 13 SE 21st Place, Cape Coral, FL 33990 with Pastor Jorge Acevedo officiating.
Memorial contributions in memory of Jaya Rucker are suggested to Project Semicolon for anti-bullying, suicide and mental health awareness.
