Jeremy Dennis Comer

Jeremy Dennis Comer, 37, a longtime resident of Cape Coral, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 in Punta Gorda. He was born September 30, 1976 in San Diego, CA.

Jeremy was hired as a Firefighter/EMT in 2003 for the City of Cape Coral. Jeremy worked for the Lehigh Acres Fire District and Collier County EMS prior to joining the Cape Coral Fire Department. Jeremy’s fellow Firefighters and especially his crew loved Jeremy like a brother.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kari Comer of Cape Coral; parents, Patrick and Deborah Comer of Cape Coral; one brother, Seth Comer and his wife Jill of Cape Coral; one grandparent, Nannette Comer of Murrieta, California; in-laws, Ben and Kathy Schanbeck, Amy and Adam Buteau and Katie Schanbeck; 6 nieces; 2 nephews; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Jeremy was known for his contagious smile, sense of humor and quiet, unassuming nature. He was especially loved by his nieces and nephews and they will have many memories of having fun with their “Uncle Jeremy.” Jeremy was cherished by all and will be sorely missed.
