Joel’s son, Shawn, introduced me to Jesus in 1979 while we were in high school. I spent many weekends with the Harris’ and understood their passion for the truth of God’s Word through Joel’s leadership as a father. Joel always intrigued me with his very thoughtful questions on various theological issues. His desire for learning inspired me. He was without question one of my spiritual fathers in the faith! My love for the Lord continues today because of the Harris’s influence on me! To God be the glory!!
May you rest in peace
