John will be dearly missed, I would say as I grew up he was my role model and I chose a good model. I have many fond memories such as family Christmas and Easter gatherings, visits to the cottage, being ring bearer at John and Sue’s wedding visiting for The WOSSA basketball tournament. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Our condolences to the family. It has been many lost years since I have been connected. I treasure the times we had from childhood and the get togethers our family enjoyed over the years. There were many boisterous and engaging dinners and celebrations. My mom, Helen Vorobel, deceased in 1993 was always at her happiest when John, Sue and family were with us. The years have slipped by but will never be forgotten. Aunt Sue, Kim, Jay and Leslie, let your families and those who love you and loved John support you and help you get through your sadness and sorrow.

I knew John very well at Chrysler Corp.
I used to work in the Carburetor Lab. at Highland Park Engineering and John came in one day and asked me about the carburetor problem he was having with his 318-2 van. This was around 1974 or so.
We went for a ride and he did have a problem. I took the top off his Carter BBD carb in the parking lot of the near by Buddies Pizzeria and found a small metal chip in one of the idle feed tubes.
It ran great after that and I had a good friend for life!
When I went to Intl. Service (1990), I met a Mr. Kang in Soul, Korea, that had worked with John in the past on a Chrysler project in Korea. It is a small world indeed. I wish I knew he retired in CC, I winter in FM, I was so close. I will always remember my friend John Vorobel!!! RIP!

I worked with John at Chrysler Engineering from the mid-1970s til we both retired.

John was a very considerate and smooth-charactered guy. Always had nice things to say, and worked hard.

We will miss John. Best wishes to his family.

Sue, I’m sorry to hear John has passed. He and I were great friends. I remember you guys letting me work on my car in your garage in your brand new house that you hadn’t even moved into yet I really enjoyed working with him. He will be missed. Mary and I moved back down to Chesterfield couple of years ago. I really enjoyed dancing with you back in the day. Get in touch with me when you get a chance.
