Joseph Anthony Mondello

May 22, 1952 - May 30, 2020

Joseph Anthony Mondello, 68, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 21 years, formerly of Leechburg PA, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born May 22, 1952 in Kittanning, PA to Joseph and Kathryn Mondello (Rogalski), now deceased.

Joseph belonged to St. Andrews Catholic Church in Cape Coral, Florida. He was a Real Estate Broker for Gulf Breeze Realty of SW Florida and in the past he was a Real Estate Broker West Real Estate in Pennsylvania which he loved helping people. Joe had 2 Bachelor’s degrees from Penn State University in Pennsylvania. He loved the outdoors to play golf, going to the beach, playing basketball and just loved to cook for people.  

He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Mary Louise Mondello (Watterson) of Cape Coral; two loving children, Chad Schrecengost of Cape Coral, and Jeremy Schrecengost (Autumn Maloney) of Cape Coral; two grandchildren, Dominik and Austin; as well as Boo Boo the cat.

Joseph was preceded in death by two sisters.

    Spike, I am so sorry to hear about Joe. I know it’s hard for you, but try to remember he is in a better place. No pain or struggles any more. I know he loved you as much as any man could have.     Mary Louise – I was watching golf on TV today and for some reason thought of Joe since he essentially taught me the game when we were kids. I googled his name to see if you guys were still in Cape Coral and saw the news. Sorry to hear he has passed on but keep in mind we will both see him again someday.!
    He was one of a kind!
