Josephine C. Shirley

Josephine C. Shirley, 86, a Lee county resident for the past 45 years, formerly of New York, New York, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. She was born on March 27, 1928 in Bronx, NY to Umberto and Mary Di Pillo, now deceased.

Josephine was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Fort Myers. She loved her family above all. Josephine was proud of her age and her Italian heritage. She enjoyed gambling, playing slot machines and bingo. She loved to vacation traveling with her family, especially on a cruise.

She is survived by three loving children, Mary Ann Bolt (James) of Easley, SC, Lorraine Burt (Leo) of Fort Myers, and Christine Piper (Douglas) of Alva, FL; a sister, Henrietta Pahopin of Blue Spring, MO; a brother, Anthony Nargi (Ann) of Lakeworth, FL; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Shirley in 2014, two children, Joseph Errico and Andrew Hauffe, as well as two granddaughters, Debra Ann Jarrell and Cynthia Dawn Errico.

Following the Memorial Mass will be a Graveside Committal at Lee Memorial Park, 12777 State Road 82, Fort Myers, FL 33913.
