Joyce “Joy” Sincere

Joyce (Joy) J Sincere, 80, passed away suddenly at home on June 6th, 2019.

Born in Atlantic City on October 7, 1938, Joy was the youngest of 8 children born to and delivered by her Dad, Giuseppe (Pop) and Rose Canova Giglia. Joy spent most of her life in Atlantic City NJ and Absecon NJ.
As a young girl, she would help her Pop at the “Dunker Inn” Donut shop on Atlantic Ave in Atlantic City.
She attended St Michaels elementary school and graduated from Atlantic City High School. Joy worked for the Atlantic City Press for 25 years and for the State of NJ Superior Court for 15 years.
She eventually moved to Cape Coral Florida to be near her daughter and her family. The neighbors all knew her because of her daily walks. Most days, Joy put 10 miles of “strolling” on her Fit Bit.
As a member of the “Tony Grant Stars of Tomorrow”, Joy developed a love of dance that was with her until she went to God. It was never difficult to convince her to jitterbug or break out into a song and dance number. She loved to go to Venice to visit her nephews Joseph and Bill. They made sure she got her fill of dance, as if that could happen.

Joy was married to Joseph C Sincere for 28 years until his unexpected passing in 1986. She will be welcomed home to God by her beloved husband, Joseph C Sincere Jr., Her Mother Rose and Father Joseph (Pop). In the choir will be, Sister Vita Giglia, Brother Anthony Giglia-(Mary Lou), Brother Vincent (Jimmy) Giglia (Laura), Sister Frances Calabrese (Francis), Sister Marie Corvari, Brother in Law Luciano (Gene) Zompa.

Joy is survived by and will be very sadly missed by her only child, Lori Fiduccia (Tony), Granddaughter Jenna Chattin Tulley (Scott) and her Great Granddaughter Katharina Belle Tulley.

She is also survived by her Sister Rose Zompa (Luciano) and Gloria Bartechko (Calvin) and Brother in Law Serafino Corvari (Marie). There are also many nieces, nephews who loved their Aunt Joy will remember her always.

At Joy’s request, there will be no traditional service. Family will celebrate her life and reunion with her true love at a time to be determined.

Her final resting place will be in Atlantic City, the place she referred to as her “Only real home”.Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.
