Katherine Bridget Watson

Katherine Bridget Watson, 65, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1996, formerly of Marathon, FL and Charleston, SC, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Fort Myers. She was born July 30, 1954 in Charleston, SC.

Katherine was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Johannes Lutheran Church in Charleston, SC. She was a nurse who worked in both Charleston, Marathon, and Fort Myers. She also was church secretary at Grace Methodist in Fort Myers Shores. She enjoyed traveling and camping around the country in an RV. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing, crafting, and jewelry making.

She is survived by her beloved husband of over 30 years, Bill Watson of Fort Myers; loving mother, Mary Sweatt of Charleston, SC; two brothers, Steven Mims and Monte Mims, both of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Tyler Grimball, Kameron Grimball, and Cailey Guerrera; daughter in law, Toshia Grimball of Austin, TX; as well as sister in law, Deborah Yong (Jon) of Boston, MA.

Katherine was preceded in death by her father, Carroll Mims.

    Katherine was the best friend I have ever had the joy of knowing. We first met when she was 14 and we were close ever since. I’m going to miss her so very much.
