I was so sorry to read about Kathie’s passing in the Buffalo News this morning. We lived in the same development when she and her dog, Dooley, lived in Woodstream Farms on Rollingwood. I’ll never forget the time that Dooley got “skunked” in her yard. He loved to swim in the pond at nearby Bassett Park and Kathie said the water would bring back the smell from the skunk every time he took a dip. I always enjoyed walking by her house to see what new flowers she’d planted in her front yard. She was such an exceptional gardener and her lawn was so beautiful. I only ran into Kathie once after she moved two more times in the area but will always remember our talks at Bassett Park as we watched Dooley and my dog, Molly, enjoy going for a swim. May Kathie rest in peace. She was a lovely woman.

I was so saddened and shocked to read of Kathie’s passing in the Buffalo News. She was my best friend from 3rd grade to 12th grade and she stood up in my wedding. We lost touch after high school and only saw each other a handful of times but the memories remain. She was very talented in many ways. She was quite artistic and a good interior decorator an occupation she told me could have been one she would have liked to pursue. Rest in peace my good friend.
