Lavonne Marie Hannah
Lavonne Marie Hannah, 90, a resident of Fort Myers for 16 years, formerly of Bonita Springs, FL and Flushing, MI, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Fort Myers. She was born June 15, 1929 in Elsie, MI to Orrie and Hilda Dumond, now deceased.
Lavonne was of the Gospel Baptist faith, attending Gunnery Baptist Faith. She moved from Michigan to Bonita Springs in 1969 with her son, Jerry. Lavonne owned and operated Naples Beauty Salon for 30 years. She loved her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She also worked with Meals on Wheels for many years and loved to help the elderly people she encountered while working with them.
She is survived by her three loving sons, John Challender (Kathy) of Corina, MI, Jim Challender of Ft. Myers and Jerry Challender (Robin) of Muse, FL; one sister, Audurey Dumond of Fairview, MI; seven grandchildren as well as nine great grandchildren.
Lavonne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy Junice Hannah in 2002; a brother, Keith Dumond and her grandson, Dave Challender.
Memorial Services will be held 1:30 PM on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Ft. Myers, 33916 with Pastor Tracy Hansen officiating.
