Lazaro Naranjo

May 14, 1952 - November 19, 2021

Lazaro Naranjo, 69, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past twelve years, formerly of North Bergen, NJ, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 in Cape Coral. He was born May 14, 1952 in Cuba to Evidio and Marina Naranjo, now deceased.

Larry was a man who exercised perfection in everything he did. If you ever had the privilege of watching him do any type of manual work, you can see the precision with every movement of his hands. Everything was always in order; a place for everything and everything in its place. He was someone you wanted to know, because no matter what you asked him, he knew a little about everything… especially the weather! Larry was funny even though he didn’t know it. Asking him to explain something left you even more confused. What his daughters like to often describe as “Clear as mud.”

He was not one to show care or love with words, but he showed it in his actions. Whenever anyone needed anything, without hesitation, he came to your aid. He always picked up the phone when you called. If you needed help on a house project, he never asked for anything in return. If you had an emergency late at night, it was never an inconvenience to him. It is no wonder why he was so loved by so many. He was the center of our family and his departure has left a great void in our hearts. May we all remember how he lived, how he laughed and how he showed his love.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Nellie Naranjo of Cape Coral; two loving children, Beatriz Valle (Juan) of Miramar, FL, and Pilar Naranjo of Hialeah, FL; sisters, Migdalia Naranjo of Miramar, and Susie Naranjo of Hollywood, FL; as well as four grandchildren, Emily Naranjo, Briella Valle, DJ Valle, and Jordan Valle.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

Larry was a great person. I did not know him for very long but the few moments that I was close to him was enough to realize the kind of person he was. He loved his family especially his grandkids. May He Rest in Peace.

This breaks my heart. Larry was such a sweet man we would just sit and talk about his grandchildren when he would come over. He was very close to my heart. He loved his family so much. When he spoke about them there was always a smile on his face. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Your family is in our prayers.

Tio Larry always wanted to make us kids happy, from dressing up like Santa, which my younger cousins still remember, to buying Betty, Pilar and I every type of shirt in Disney and taking us fishing in Belmar, I will always treasure the fun memories we had growing up. Going to Tio and Tia’s house in North Bergen was always my favorite outing. Then, going to visit them in Cape Coral became my children’s favorite vacation. Thank you both for that. We’ll miss you playing the tambores, we’ll miss your smile and your thumbs up! <3
