Linda Katherine Lewis
Linda Katherine Lewis, 80, a resident of Lee County, FL for the past 21 years, formerly of Columbus, OH passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born February 27, 1941 in Bexley, OH to William Austin and Eleanor Gertrude Woodruff, now deceased.
Linda will be remembered as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend with the biggest servant heart to help others. In Ohio, Linda had 3 full-time jobs – working at Doctors Hospital as Executive Assistant, supporting her husband in his start-up business (Digital Design) and raising her 3 children. Her Lutheran faith was nurtured at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, where she attended many Bible Studies and Women’s Groups. Alongside her husband, she complimented his Prison Ministry efforts by becoming active in Kairos Outside, a Woman’s program dedicated to those with incarcerated loved ones. During this time, she was also the Secretary to the Chaplain at the Marion Correctional Facility. After moving to Florida, the Pine Island American Legion Post 136 became Linda’s next passion to share her many talents. Her roles there included: Historian, Sergeant at Arms, Chaplain, President of Women’s Auxiliary, and serving on the Executive Board. Her planning and organizing skills were instrumental in creating many successful events and theme parties that brought joy to everyone who attended.
Linda thoroughly enjoyed cooking, cleaning, gardening, making “To Do” lists, boating, walking sandy beaches, playing cards, puzzling on her Kindle and, of course, cheering on her favorite football team – The Ohio State Buckeyes. Her greatest life challenge was trying to make cooks out of her 2 daughters. We are so thankful she left us with the best recipe for life: Kindness, Laughter and lots of Love.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Christina Twining (Erik) of Dallas, TX, and Tonya Siciliano (Stephen) of Cape Coral, FL; siblings, Bonnie Krstolic of Beaufort, SC, and William Woodruff of Eagan, MN; sister-in laws, Janice McKenzie (Richard) of Salem, OH; and Peggy Poole of Cadiz, OH; nephews, Craig Krstolic and Matt Krstolic; nieces, Lana, Gretchen and Marill; as well as three (3) grandchildren, Trey, Ashley, and Isabella.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Alfred Lewis in December of 2020; as well as son, Ken Elliott Nicholson.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Cape Coral, Florida on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Additional details/updates will be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com
Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

I WILL CHERISH ALL THE DAYS WE SPENT AT THE AUXILLARY. YOU WILL BE MISSED, BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!
Tonya, what can I say. I am so sorry for your mom’s passing. When we met we just clicked. She was a wonderful friend. We had fun shopping, eating out and even when we cleaned together. She wanted me to come see her but due to covid and health issues I just couldn’t. It broke my heart. She gave me her new address and I sent her a card. It came back and she said that it was right. Sent it again and it came back, by then it was to late. I will cherish the times I had with your Mom. She was an amazing Women and a very special friend. Lucy
I worked in the Kairos Prison Ministry with Linda and Tom in Ohio. We also visited them in Florida and loved boating with them. May they both Rest In Peace and enjoy their time in heaven with Jesus. Linda will be missed.
