Linda Kay Haywood

July 31, 1958 - July 26, 2022

Linda Kay Haywood, 63, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL for more than 30 years, formerly of Okeechobee, FL, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born July 31, 1958 in West Palm Beach, FL to Ray and Alice King, now deceased.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton (Buzz) Haywood, brothers David Moreland, Lee Martin and Alan King and Great Grandson Liam Ethan Cortes. 

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and The Honor Guard for The AmVets Post 81 North Fort Myers, FL where she also loved to cook on the weekends.

Linda had many interests and talents but she loved to make flower arrangements and had an affinity for growing beautiful plants. Her favorite thing to do however was get on stage and sing Karaoke all night long.

Linda is survived by her loving children, Heather Craig (Robert) of Lorida, FL, Alicia Vazquez of Fort Myers, Tony Webster of Summerville, SC, and bonus daughter, Jessica Busbee (Andy) of GA;  grandchildren, Brandon Drawdy (Leeann), Tony Ott, Jr., Savannah Lambert (Timmy ), Jessica Cortes ( Edwin), Hailey Webster, Alyssa, Brianna, A.J. and Bryson Busbee, Jason Pike, Alexandria Herrera, Serenity McFarlane, and Taiyler Craig (Jeremiah); as well as nine great grandchildren, Luke, Addy, Ella, Isaac, Savannah, Lane, Braxton, Maisyn, and Jeremiah, Jr.

She will also be forever missed by her sister Elaine Pickering and her loving companion Glenn C. Melena and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.    

No formal services are planned at this time.

    Linda I love you so much and I miss you so much I’m so sorry that you couldn’t last till my wedding but knowing that you’ll be looking down on us with my mom and my dad and all the other people that I lost will still be just as amazing as it would be with you there. Billy and I both miss you dearly tell us we said hello tell my loved ones we said hello and I love them and rest in peace baby girl
