Linda S. Combs
Linda (Sue) Combs passed away peacefully July 10, 2017 surrounded by her familyin Pine Island Florida. Sue was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan on March 23, 1952 to Dorothy (Barnes) Brodie and James Brodie.
Sue graduated from Willow Run High school in 1970.Sue was working at a small conveniencestore when she caught theeyeGene Combs. After Genes’ many trips to the store just to see Sue, they got married onApril 18,1970. Together they had one daughter CassandraLeuliette(Combs) and one son James (Jamie) Combs. Sue worked for John Hancock and PNC Bank for a total of 20 yearsand was very successful.Gene and Sue enjoyed travelling together to places like Las Vegas. Sue also enjoyed gardening,cooking,playing with her grandchildren and spendingqualitytime with all of her family.Sue was also a member of the Ypsilanti Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Gene; daughter, Cassandra (Tim) and son, James (Kelly); brothers, James Brodie and Steve Brodie; her grandchildren, Shelby, Chelsea, Austin, Allie, Blake, Ashton, Logan, Mia, Deanna, Autumn, Dylan, Collin; her three great-grandchildren, Colton, Bella, and Jace; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sue is preceded in death by her father, James Brodie and mother, Dorothy (Barnes) Brodie; as well as a sister, Mable(Brodie)Dunagan.
Sue hada huge heart and touched so many livesduring her life on earth. Sue will be watching over us from Heaven as an Angel, protecting and comforting all of us during this difficult time.
Funeral Services will be held 2:30 PM Friday, July 14, 2017 at Mullins Memorial, 1056 NE 7th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Pastor Cameron officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1:30 PM until the time of service.
