Lisa Marie Walburg

Lisa Marie Walburg (née Eisele), age 50, died on Friday, April 10, 2015, in Fort Myers, FL, after an extended illness. Lisa was born on September 12, 1964, in Baltimore, MD, to William F. Eisele, Sr., and Norma A. Eisele.
Lisa spent her childhood and early adult years in the Columbia, MD, and Baltimore, MD, area, and then moved to South Dakota, and, finally, to the Fort Myers, FL, area. In her early years, she enjoyed equestrian sports and motorcycle riding. In South Dakota, she lived a peaceful, rural life on the Walburg farm north of Volga, enjoying time spent with her family, and the numerous horses and dogs on the farm. When she moved to Florida, she enjoyed her time spent on the beach with friends and her faithful canine companion, Gidget. Lisa worked most of her life as a bookkeeper and in the insurance business.

Lisa is survived by her brother and sisters; Bill Eisele (Shawna), Sandra Elam (Frank), Susan Leal (Leroy), and Linda Larson (Dave); and numerous nephews and nieces; Michael Cook, Jason Shearer (Athena), Amy Burkowske (Chris), Emma Larson, Erik Larson, Dylan Leal, and Connor Church. She is also survived by her former husband Duane Walburg; her step children Amber (Chad) Hanson, Levi Walburg (Wen), Jordan and Josh Walburg and Amanda Dixon; her five grandchildren; and dear friend, Keith Swirles. Lisa was predeceased by her parents and grandparents.

At Lisa’s request, no services were held. Cremation has taken place with her ashes to be scattered in locations near to her heart.

Donations may be made in Lisa’s memory to the ASPCA, your local no-kill animal shelter, or the American Liver Foundation.

Lisa will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, kind soul, and her love of family, friends, and animals.
