Lyle “Fred” Perkins, Jr.
Lyle Frederick “Fred” Perkins, Jr., 68, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2010, formerly of Bracey, VA and Binghamton, NY, went home to the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Cape Coral. He was born December 1, 1949 in Farmville, VA to Lyle and Kate Perkins, Sr., now deceased.
Fred was a member of Christian Life Fellowship in Cape Coral. He graduated from Petersburg High School and received a college degree while enlisted in The U.S. Navy. Fred worked in a papermill while he lived in VA. He loved Ballroom Dancing, fishing, gardening and photography, especially taking photos of sunsets. He had such compassion for witnessing to people about Jesus and to have a personal relationship with Jesus. He loved Jesus and his family immensely.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Linda Perkins of Cape Coral; three loving children, Christopher Perkins of VA, Dianne White (Jared) of VA and Kristine McCarthy (Edward) of NY; sister, Brenda Jarvis of VA; ten grandchildren, Alyssa, Bryson, Lillian, Megan, Ryan, Michael, Brittany, Elly, Jack and Julia; his fur baby, Benjamin; as well as many friends in VA and FL.
Fred was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathen Yuhasse.
Memorial Services with Military Honors will be held 1:30 PM Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Christian Life Fellowship, 1200 SW 20th Ave., Cape Coral, FL 33991 with Pastor Stephen Hardy officiating.
