Margaret “Peg” A. Mader

June 12, 1943 - October 10, 2018

Margaret “Peg” A. Mader, 75, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Bridgewater, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. The eldest of four children, she was born on June 12,1943 in Boston, Massachusetts and was a graduate of Stoughton High School and Massasoit Community College.

Peg was married for over 52 years and raised 2 wonderful children. Although she worked over the years when her children were young, her favorite role was being a devoted wife and dedicated and supporting mom. Despite her busy schedule with her kids, Peg was able to balance motherhood and her ambition to go back to college earning her associate degree in 1980. Peg went on to work in the Selectmen’s Office of the Town of Bridgewater for 15 years and eventually retired in 1995.

In 2002 Peg and Jim moved to Cape Coral to enjoy the warm weather and to be closer to their siblings. Peg loved to travel, enjoyed dining out, bowling, playing bocce, boating and was an avid scrabble player. She enjoyed watching home improvement and cooking shows and was an active participant in the Newcomers Club, Elks Club, Power Squadron and Eagles Club. Peg was a lovingwife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her beloved husband James “Jim” W. Mader of Cape Coral, FL, her loving children and grandchildren: son James L. Mader, his wife Carolyn of Madison, CT and their children Matthew and Jonathan; daughter Patricia J. Mader of Cape Coral, FL and her son Jackson. She also leaves behind her beloved brother Paul Moses of Cape Coral, FL and sister Diane Moses of Taunton, MA as well as many cherished cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Peg is preceded in death by her parents, Anna V. Moses and George J. Moses, Sr. and her brother George J. Moses, formerly of Cape Coral, FL.

There will be a small private service in Cape Coral, FL.

A funeral will be held in Bridgewater, MA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St, Bridgewater, MA 02324 withFather Jason Giombetti officiating.
