Mark “JR” Steven Crews, Jr.

Mark “JR” Steven Crews, Jr., 32, a lifelong Ft. Myers resident, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 in Ft. Myers. He was born on April 18, 1983 in Ft. Myers.

JR was of the Baptist faith. He was a sweet country boy that loved fishing and hunting. More than anything, he loved his three nieces. After he had a horrible ATV accident that required multiple surgeries he was sent to pain management where they slowly killed him. Instead of fixing him they over prescribed him deadly drugs in which after a while damaged his heart and finally he went to sleep and never woke up. As his sister, it’s my job to end this. These pill mills have to be held accountable. My journey begins now…

He is survived by his loving parents, Mark Crews, Sr. of Ft. Myers and Debra Crews, also of Ft. Myers; sister, Kristina Crews and her fiancé, Greg Miller of Ft. Myers; three nieces, Shaylyn, Amiah, and Alayna Miller, all of Ft. Myers; maternal grandmother, Grace Lafond of North Ft. Myers; paternal grandmother, Louise Crews of St. James City; as well as numerous cousins.

JR was preceded in death by two uncles, David Hall and Dennis Cody Crews, maternal grandfather, Bo Crews, and two cousins, John Crews and Donald Bruce Hall.
