Mary A. Lorenz

Mary Adelaide Lorenz, 86, a resident of Lee County, FL for the past 15 years, formerly of Dubuque, IA, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Ft. Myers, FL. She was born November 21, 1930 in Dubuque, IA to Dr. Henry and Kathleen Willits, now deceased.

Mary was a Librarian at Loras College in Dubuque, IA as well as a High School Guidance Counselor for Dubuque Community Schools. She attended Rosary College in River Forest, IL and received her Master’s Degree from Loras College. She was very active in the Dubuque Community Theatre for many years.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Clifford Lorenz, Jr. of Ft. Myers; loving son, Mark Lorenz (Laurie) of Wilmington, DE; loving sister, Sister Ann Willits O.P. of Sinsinawa, WI; as well as three grandchildren, Zachary, Rebekah and Eli.

Mary was preceded in death by a brother.

No formal services will be held in FL.

A Graveside Service will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque, IA. Details will be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com
