Michael Daniel Slasor
Michael Daniel Slasor, 24, a Fort Myers resident for the past six months, formerly of Lake Isabella, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born on May 21, 1990 in Coral Springs, Florida.
Michael put everything he had on the line for someone he cared about. Bringing people joy and laughter with his infectious smile is what he lived for. If he touched your heart he will forever be with you.
Michael graduated from Chippewa Hills High School in 2008. He loved his music, concerts, sporting events, and was also an avid gamer. Playing sports was his passion, especially golf and hockey. Michael spent his four years of high school playing on the varsity golf team. Not only did he love the game, but also loved his coach and teammates. He was often called upon for his leadership. Apart from swinging golf clubs, Michael was also an outstanding goalie. He has left a legacy of memories to his teammates and hockey family.
He is survived by his loving parents, Mike and Anne Slasor of Lake Isabella, MI; one sister, Shannon Slasor, of MI; five uncles, Joe Simon (Ida) of AZ, Steve Slasor (Jean) of IL, Ron Slasor of MI, Scott Slasor (Landa) of MI, Brad Slasor of MI; three aunts, Mary Kay Mullins (Gary) of MI, Margaret Benakovich (Joe) of MI, and Danielle Otero (Mike) of MI; paternal grandparents, Howard Slasor (Chris) of MI; Virginia West (Jack) of MI; maternal grandmother, Lillian Simon of MI; as well as numerous loving cousins, and our extended West and Lemerand families.
Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Daniel Simon and a cousin, Rochelle Simon.
A service to celebrate and remember Michaels life will be held in Michigan at a later date.
