Michele Cook

March 22, 1954 - June 25, 2022

Michele Cook, 68, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 25 years, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born March 22, 1954 in Philadelphia to Harold and Maria Howell, now deceased.

Michele was of the Lutheran faith. She was an administrative assistant in several fields before she retired. She was dedicated to her family and long-lasting friendships. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely and made sure they didn’t want for anything. She loved dogs and after she retired turned to fostering for abused dogs. This turned into foster failing because she fell in love with the dogs that she was given and they became her babies. She was amazing in the kitchen. Famous for everything from pancakes to lasagna to carrot cake. She made sure to have everyone’s favorites when visiting. Her recipes are coveted by all. There will forever be an eternal hole left in the hearts of the ones she left behind.

She is survived by her loving children, Angela Gunderman (Bryan), and Melissa Gehring (Juan) of Cape Coral; sister, Terri Gossner of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Namir Ralph, and Hailey Gunderman; great grandchild, David Gonzalez; as well as her fur baby, Scooby and many nieces and nephews.

No formal services are planned at this time.

Memorial Contributions in memory of Michele Cook are suggested to LifeLink of Florida, 9661 Delaney Creek Blvd, Tampa, FL 33619.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

I met Michele in high school. I can honestly say, it was love at first sight. We spent many years together and raised two beautiful daughters. Things happen, and we ended up living separate lives. No matter how things turned out, I’m thankful for her being part of my life.

Michelle was a wonderful, giving friend.i am grateful for her friendship, the walks around the neighborhood and the Chinese lunches. She was unpretentious and kind. She never lost that Philly accent! I will miss her terribly. Joyce & Dennis
