Nancy Gonzalez, 65, of North Fort Myers, a resident of Cape Coral for the past two months, formerly of East Hartford, CT, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in Cape Coral. She was born August 21, 1956, in Chicago, IL to Carlos and Zoraida Montejo, both deceased.
Nancy was of the Adventist faith. She retired after 25 years of service as a Metallurgical technician at Metalizing Services, Inc. and former inspector at Aerospace Coatings in Connecticut. She attended both Tuley High School in Chicago, Illinois and New Britain High School in New Britain, CT. She was loved, admired and respected by former colleagues. Nancy was immensely devoted to her family, a caring wife, supportive mother and selfless grandmother. She was the voice of knowledge in any situation. Those who knew her concur she enjoyed listening to Marc Anthony, salsa music, playing video games and drinking her freshly brewed cup of coffee paired with Ritz crackers alongside her beloved husband as the two watched old western movies. Her presence is greatly missed amongst those who loved her most. Nancy’s advice, comforting voice, and wisdom will be cherished forever.
Nancy is survived by her beloved husband of 46 years, Luis Gonzalez of East Hartford, CT; three loving children, Zoraida Gonzalez of East Hartford, CT, Christina Gonzalez and her fiancé, Jose Cedeno of New Britain, CT, and Angelica Gonzalez of East Hartford, CT; six siblings; nine grandchildren, Anthony, Edwin, Louis, Chassiddy, Desyer, Carlos, Kyara, Donnie, and Jaiden; six great grandchildren, Faith, Jeremiah, Jayceon, Julius, Zoriana, and Nyla; as well as Zeus the dog.
