Nicholas “Nick” A. Giles

Nicholas Anthony Giles, 26, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2010, formerly of East Granby, CT, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in Cape Coral. He was born January 4, 1993 in Hartford, CT.

Nicholas was of the Christian faith. He was employed as a cook at Rib City in Cape Coral where his “work mom” Ms. Ginger said he had the special ability to always put a smile on everyone’s face.

Starting at a young age Nick had a love of the outdoors. Growing up in rural Connecticut he took every opportunity to hunt, fish, or just get muddy riding dirt bikes. Nick grew up with a tight group of friends that he stayed in touch with the rest of his life. Some of his favorite childhood memories were of all the good times spent with friends and family “growing up at the brook”. After moving to Florida, the beaches just added to his enjoyment. Even as an adult when an opportunity presented itself, he would spend time fishing and swimming with the family.

Nick will always be remembered as a loving son, and brother. He will be missed by so many.

He is survived by his loving parents, Brandon and Ann Giles of Cape Coral; a loving sister, Erin Giles of Cape Coral; uncles, Walter Klepaszewski of Atlanta, GA and Thomas Klepaszewski, also of Atlanta, GA; aunts, Diane Klepaszewski of Fort Myers, FL, and Kate Richards of Simsbury, CT; maternal grandmother, Susan Klepaszewski of Cape Coral; paternal grandfather, Fred Giles of Fort Myers; as well as cousins, Richard Ferry of VA, Eleanor Ferry of Cape Coral, Jacob Klepaszewski of Atlanta, GA, Eden Gagne of Cape Coral, Megan, Michaela, and Austin Richards of Simsbury, CT.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Water’s Edge Church, 2213 Country Club Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33990 with Pastor Don Neace officiating.
