Patty Jo (Gilfus) Douglas passed away on September 25, 2019 in Cape Coral FL. Patty was born in Minot, ND on November 15th, 1960 to George and Caroline Gilfus. She was raised in Minot. She attended and graduated from Bishop Ryan High School in 1979.
Patty was once married to Dave Douglas, in that union two children were born, Leah and Tanner. Prior to moving to Florida, Patty lived in Fargo, ND and Brown Deer, Wisconsin.
Patty had a sensitive heart, so kind and generous. She loved to have fun and was often the life of the party. She loved her family and friends dearly; she will be missed by all.
Patty’s loving family included her partner of 19 years, Doug Selander; father, George (Verna) Gilfus, sister, Peggy (Levi) Johnson; children, Leah (Nick) McGahey, Tanner (Brittany) Douglas; grandchildren, Marlie, Bentlei and Preslei McGahey; uncle, Kermit (Florence) Alveshere; niece, Cheyenne (Ryan) Jundt; good friend, Mark Coye; as well as several cousins.
Patty was preceded in death by her mother Caroline; uncles, Arthur and Lester (Ella) Alveshere; aunts, Alice (Leo) Weist and Lena (Nick) Thomas.
Patty will be remembered at a Mass at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Turtle Lake, ND on October 12th, 2019 at 10:00 AM.
