Pete Weinberger, 59, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 19 years, formerly of Lyndhurst/ North Arlington, NJ, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 surrounded by his family in Cape Coral. He was born August 25, 1959 in Kearney, NJ to Ernest and Patricia Weinberger, now deceased.
Pete was a die-hard New York Yankee & New York Giants fan. He loved classic rock and hot rods. His favorites were “Rippers” from Rutt’s Hut, and a suitcase from White Castle. He loved his grand-dog Cooper. You could always find him tinkering in his garage blasting music, and occasionally enjoying a good cigar.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Shelly Weinberger of Cape Coral; loving son, Petey Weinberger and fiancé, Amy Lechleidner of Cape Coral; grandson, Jason Van Bodegon of Port Charlotte, FL; brother, Bobby Weinberger (Susanne) of Cape Coral; as well as two nieces, Leigh-Anne Stewart (Brad) of Cape Coral and Kelsey Weinberger of Cape Coral.
Memorial Services will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Vince Miller officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
