Phyllis Brenda DiVeto- Wagner
Phyllis Brenda DiVeto-Wagner, 95, a resident of Cape Coral since 1992, formerly of Plymouth, MI, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021 in Cape Coral. She was born October 16, 1925 in Brantford, Ontario, Canada to Richard and Myra Mustard, now deceased.
Phyllis was married to her husband Hill at 16 and never looked back, always lived life to the fullest. The family moved to California in 1952 and bought a house underneath the Hollywood sign. Three years later they moved to Anaheim where she worked at the Timex store in Disneyland and met Walt Disney, giving her children fond memories of using Disneyland as their playground. Phyllis loved to travel, in 1958 the family moved to Michigan, while there, the family traveled often, to Canada and throughout the US. An avid reader, Phyllis used books as a way to expand her knowledge on a variety of subjects, from science and nature, to current events. She instilled this love of reading to her young children with weekly library trips. Phyllis retired to Cape Coral, Florida with her second husband John 24 years ago, where she continued her passion for gardening and bird watching. She loved animals and had had pet cats her entire life. A caring mother and friend, her spirit will live on in our hearts.
She is survived by her three loving children, Paul DiVeto (Laura) of Windsor, Ontario, Bryan DiVeto (Danielle) of Freemont, OH and Leeann Banas (Joe) of Rockford, MI; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; as well as dear friends Brad and Joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Wagner in 2014; as well as oldest son Rick DiVeto in 1994.
Phyllis will be placed with her Husband at the Sarasota National Cemetery for final rest.
