Dear Pat, Valerie and Family, Our hearts are broken for you. As parents we share your grief and your loss. We are not supposed to have to outlive our children and it is just wrong when a tragedy violates this rule. Rachel, though we never met, looks like a wonderful young lady and I know that the hole she has left will never be filled. Please accept Muriel and my sincere condolences and know that we are thinking of you and praying for your whole family to get through this sorrowful time. John and Muriel

Valerie and family, I was devastated to see that Rachel died. I was her Kindergarten teacher right after you moved here from Ohio. I remember her infectious laughter and beautiful smile. She was especially happy and proud when mom (Valerie) came to volunteer in the classroom. May the fond memories of your precious Rachel help sustain you through this difficult time.

Rachel was equal parts my girlfriend, but also my best friend. We shared countless moments, made memories that I can look back on and still feel the excitement from that day, and was just overall a great person to be around. I will always cherish what we had together, all the adventures we would take, even the short ones were just some of the best ones. Love you Rachel.
