Rena Middleton Bartley

April 21, 1930 - April 6, 2020

Rena Middleton Bartley, 89, a lifelong resident of Fort Myers, FL, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 in Fort Myers. She was born April 21, 1930 in Fort Myers, FL to Ernest Guy Middleton and Bertha Jackson, now deceased.

Rena was a former member of First Baptist Church in Fort Myers. She attended Gwynne Elementary, Fort Myers Junior High School and Fort Myers Senior High School. She was a cheerleader and a majorette in High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, doing crossword puzzles, reading and playing card bingo.

She is survived by four loving children, Vicki Loarte of Fort Myers, Jan Bartley of Melbourne, FL, Susan Bartley of Fort Myers, and Terri Bartley, also of Fort Myers; five grandchildren, Victoria, Zachary, Justin, James, and Alexandra; three great grandchildren, Gracie, Lacey, and Hattie; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Rena was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James H. Bartley in 2007; a brother, Ernest Lamar β€œBoney” Middleton; as well as her stepfather, John Jackson.

    Aunt Rena now lives a new beginning as the old beginning is no more. She is with those who have gone on before her. We’ll see her again one day soon.
