Ricky J. Christian, age 64, of Port Charlotte FL, formally from Wilkes Barre PA, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday August 11, 2019. Ricky was born March 26th, 1955 in Paterson NJ to Thomas Christian and Joan (Woods) Christian. He attended and graduated from Coughlin High School in 1973 and served four years in the United States Marine Corps. Ricky worked fifteen years at Bertels Can Company and was an active member and trustee of the Port Charlotte, “Fraternal Order of Eagles” 3296.
Ricky leaves behind his great love of forty-six years, Blenda (McIlvee) Christian. He was a beloved husband, father of two and grandfather of four grandchildren. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing karaoke and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife; Blenda, his children; Kelly (Christian) Homa, David Homa of Mountain Top, PA, Ricky J. Christian Jr., Alison (Bella) Christian of Bear Creek, PA. Grandchildren; Jessica (Bella) Mumm, Julian Homa, Jayden Homa, and Cole Christian. Brothers/Sisters; Tom (Pauline) Christian of Virginia, Linda (Gerald) Koval of Bear Creek, PA, Joanie (Joe) Leith, Michelle (Sam) Green of Exeter, PA, Cheryl (Jim) Kammerer of Wilkes Barre, PA, Scott (Beth) Christian of Plains, PA, Sherry (Danny) Dunn of Wilkes Barre PA. His companion Sasha “The Dog”, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Ricky is predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Joan Christian along with his sister, Christine (Christian) Halecki; his mother and father in law, Harold and Virginia “Ginny” Miller; brother in law, Ricky J. McIlvee and sister in law, Sherry (McIlvee) Danforth.

A Memorial Mass celebrating Ricky’s life will be held 11:30 AM on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at Lemon Bay Church of Christ, 7000 Regina Dr, Englewood, FL 34224. A Military honor ceremony will follow starting 1:30PM, at Fraternal Order of Eagles 3296, 23111 Harbor View Rd, Port Charlotte, FL 33980.
