Rita Mae Dice

Rita Mae Dice, 76, a resident of Charlotte County, FL for the past three years, formerly a resident of Lee County, FL for the past 46 years, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in Punta Gorda, FL. She was born February 29, 1940 in Canton, OH to Edwin and Anna Krabill, now deceased.

Rita was a founding member of Buckingham Presbyterian Church in Ft. Myers. She was a profound baker, wonderful housekeeper, dedicated mother and grandmother, and she loved playing cards and games of any kind. She made it half way through her 11th grade of high school and never furthered her education due to marriage and children. Her career was taking care of Mark and Vicki and running the house until the late 70s where she acquired her first job working in a school café. She worked at Riverdale High School, Pepsi, and Lee Memorial Hospital. Rita will be greatly remembered for her passion of decorating and baking for the holidays. But her greatest success was making sure Mark and Vicki had all they needed.

She is survived by two loving children, Mark Dice and fiancé, Linda Maxwell of Cape Coral and Vicki Mackey (John) of Ft. Myers; sister, Roberta Sheppard of Ft. Myers; as well as two grandchildren, John Joseph Mackey, and Courtney Mackey, both of Ft. Myers.

Rita was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Ralph Krabill.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Vineyard of Fort Myers, 6300 Techster Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL 33966 with Pastor Gary and Cathy Smith officiating.
