Robert “Bob” A. Bowers

December 25, 1963 - February 14, 2018

Robert “Bob” Alan Bowers, 54, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 20 years, formerly of Hamburg, NY, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018. He was born December 25, 1963 in Tonawanda, NY to Thaddeus and Jennie Bowers, now deceased.

Bob’s years in the U.S. Navy provided him with the skills that he perfected at home, during his employment at Sisters of Charity Hospital (Buffalo, NY); Calusa Harbour Retirement Community (Fort Myers, FL); and his 17 years as Facilities Manager at Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. (Fort Myers, FL) before retiring. Bob had a high work ethic, was a man of principle, and had compassion for all groups of people. He was an excellent golfer, an amazing chef, and his wonderful sense of humor leaves us with a smile.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Roselyn Bowers of Cape Coral, FL; his stepdaughter, Catherine Crato (Bilal Habib) of Washington, DC; one grandchild, Kiran Habib; a brother, Paul Bowers of Fort Myers, FL and two sisters, Nancy Antkowiak of Fort Myers, FL and Beverly Pellien (Rodney) of Derby, NY. Bob will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Memorial Services will be held 5:30 PM on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Lynn M. Biser officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The formal service will begin at 5:30 PM and family visitation will continue after the formal service.

Mr. Bowers’ ashes will be placed at Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date.
