Bonnie & Family… our sincerest condolences and prayers. We remember the first week we moved into our home. “Mr B.” stopped over to welcome us. We will always remember our “over the fence” conversation.s. He was a dear man.
Oh Bonnie we are so very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. You both have been on my mind lately.
So sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and your family. Love to you.
Those of you who knew Bob, know that he LOVED the game of golf. I think he relished the mental challenge as much, if not more, than the physical. I was reluctant to accept Bob’s generous offer to “caddy” for me in a ladies tournament since I was a high handicapper and thought he would expect more from me than what I could deliver. On the contrary, he was very supportive, encouraging and most helpful. Even though I didn’t win a trophy, it was a very enjoyable outing. Bob and Bonnie visited us in MI one summer where he dressed the part of a classic golfer. Not many men could pull this off, but Bob’s confidence on a golf course was hard to beat. The other game Bob excelled at was “Chronology.” His game night choice where you not only were entertained but also educated at the same time. Rest in Peace dear friend.
Bob was my younger brother, and I loved him dearly. I have so many beautiful memories of our growing up together in Iowa; we had fun playing in the neighborhood, going to Lake Okoboji, and just being together. We both retired to Florida, and so my husband and I had the opportunity to ride on his pontoon boat and play golf together (often getting a free lesson) here in Florida. He was a wonderful friend to my oldest daughter, Stephanie, who was a flower girl in his and Bonnie’s wedding. I will try to remember the good times and let them over-ride the memories of his illness, knowing that he is now in a place of peace and happiness. I love you, Bob!
Bonnie, we are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. One thing I will always remember is when Bob showed me the cannon and then fired it while you still lived in Ft. Dodge.
He will be greatly missed.
We love you!
Bonnie
