Rosa M. Tirado
Rosa Maria Tirado, 77, a resident of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, April 27, 2018 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born August 30, 1940 in Mexico City, Mexico to Macario Miranda and Carlota Vargas now deceased. Rosa lived in Chicago, Il and then moved to Carteret, NJ Later she lived in Vineland, NJ and in 2004 moved to Florida to be near her grandchildren.
Rosa was employed at the Holiday Inn in Carteret, NJ while raising her four children. She had an early start on motherhood when she was left to care for her young brothers and sisters back in Mexico. We definitely benefitted from that experience because the love and care she displayed to us all went above and beyond anything we could have asked for. Her love didn’t stop there because she treated everyone with respect and kindness and in turn everyone had great respect for her. Her smile and warmth had a loving impact on friends of the family that made them feel like part of our family. We are all better people because of her. Our mother fought a long and courageous battle with cancer since 2010. We were in awe of the strength and courage she displayed that secured her title as the best mother, grandmother and great grandmother we could have asked for. Words can’t describe how much we all love you Ma but we are sure you knew. You will live in our hearts forever and we will miss you dearly.
She is survived by four loving children, Elena Ruiz Sosa (Ephraim) of Cape Coral, FL, Irma Mendoza (Fernando) of Vineland, NJ, Marta Zappala (Joseph) of Cape Coral, FL, and Jose E. Tirado (Shana Dillon) of Tampa, FL; seven siblings, Carmen Vargas of IL, Ana Davila (Luis) of IL, Enrique Vargas (Jan) of CO, Carlota Vargas of IL, Roberto Vargas of CA, Luis Vargas (Suzie) of IL, and Antonio Vargas of IL; six grandchildren, Luis, Alexis, Kristyna, Jennifer, Jose Jr, and Alex ; three great grandchildren, Luis, Sophia and Audrey; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
