The first time I met grandma I was drawn to her by her smile. It told me everything I needed to know her about her, Her faith, her trust her strength and especially her love of family. It was and always will be a blessing to have known her and for this her journey in this life should be celebrated and emulated by all those whose life she touched.

Rose Isabelle Donaldson, my Mother in law. You have been in my life for over 50 years. And as I write this I speak not only for myself, but for Lawrence. Although small in statue, you were moumental. A gatekeeper for your family. You were the definition if praying without ceasing. You were the definition of giving thanks, you were the definition of God’s peace. You were the definition of God’s love. You build your house upon a strong foundation. There were no valleys too deep or wide or mountains too high.
You fear the Lord, but you knew he had you in his arms. Thanks for all the prayers prayed in my home when you lived here. It lingers. Thanks for being a wonderful mother in law. A mentor, a teacher, a grandmother. Thanks for the jokes and story telling. You have done well. Go find your love, he is waiting.

  22. Paulette 'Bobs' Williams Bonner Dec 31, 2021 at 9:45 am

Mrs Rose (Tita) Donaldson, and family were extremely close to my parents, Wilbert and Rachel Williams, all living almost a stone’s throw apart in the district of Davyton, Manchester.
Our families were so close that on Sundays, the wives had to prepare dinner with extras for the other’s husband, as well as for the late Basil Samuels.
The men would go from one house to the next and have dinner.
Miss Rose was very close and helpful to our mother, Rachel Williams, who passed on only in July this year.
Of Mommy’s eleven children, only two I am sure of, that Miss Rose was not present at the bedside for, because, they were born in a hospital.
Growing up, we were allowed to dress up and go to Miss Rose’s family home on some Sundays, hence, as children, from the two families, we were bonded more closely than possibly with any other children in the community.
Miss Rose was the Godmother to one of my brothers and unlike now, a Godmother she was.
She was more like a part of our family and was not only well respected by us, but as with other adults in the community, possibly feared.
Miss Rose lived in the era when adults were adults. When children were not a part of adults’ conversations and when every adult is every child’s parent.

May her soul rest in perfect peace.

I am grateful for all the wonderful time we spent listening to you as we visited you. You always wore the most welcoming smile. It is so strange back then when you wanted to talk to us about Jesus we were always in a hurry. We did enjoy all the meals you would share with us and I know you also sent up a lot of prayers. I am saddened at your transition. We will miss you but I know you are happy to be with Jesus and your hubby. I close with a story about a beautiful rose 🌹 that bloomed beautiful next to a wall. This rose was so beautiful that people came from far just to admire the rose. But one day the rose saw a light that came from the crack in the wall. The rose went to investigate and ended up on the other side of the wall. Now the rose 🌹 still blooms on the other side. You are that rose Miss Donaldson. Jesus is that light and you followed him to the other side. Now you bloom on the other side. Rest in Heaven Miss Donaldson. ❤️❤️🌹❤️❤️

I found this obituary while searching info on my late Grandma, Isabelle Donaldson, née Smith. There was more coincidence: Grandma’s youngest sister’s sister’s name was Rose!

My deepest condolences to Rose Isabelle Donaldson’s loved ones. I hope she and my Grandma have met up in Heaven and are singing hymns, and laughing as they share family stories,
