Rosemond M. Forberger

July 7, 1939 - March 20, 2017

Rosemond M. Forberger, 77, a resident of Fort Myers, FL for the past 34 years, formerly of Burlington, IA passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 in Fort Myers. She was born July 7, 1939 in Rock Island, IL to Eugene and Rosemond Edwards, now deceased.

Rosemond was a wonderful mother who cared about everyone else first and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always a natural with children. She always said that her granddaughter Marissa was hers (like a daughter) and she was just letting her parents Laura and Kevin borrow her. She was the happiest when she was baking and cooking for others. It was nothing for her to whip up a homemade pie for someone. She enjoyed the holidays and our traditional Christmas cookie baking day with various family members. Rosemond loved her politics.

This past year had been hard on Rosemond with losing her beloved daughter Laura. They are now in heaven together as they were in life.

She is survived by seven loving children, Arnold Smith (Nancy) of Washington, IA, Robert Smith, of Washington, IA, Cindy Smith, also of Washington, IA, Susan Hathaway of Fort Myers, Karen Rheinschmidt (Dan) of Cape Coral, FL, Julie Ingersoll (Robert) of Lehigh Acres, FL and William Bragg of Fort Myers; three loving siblings, Joyce Valejo, Ronnie Edwards, and Lucille Mathews, all of Rock Island, IL; nine grandchildren, Marissa, Amy, Triston, Matthew, Branden, Justin, Heather, Amanda and Ryan; five great grandchildren, Kyle, Bethany, Daniel, Charlotte and Lilly; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Rosemond was preceded in death by her daughter, Laura; as well as a brothers, Kenny Edwards, Louie Edwards, Bob Edwards and her twin brother, Raymond Edwards.
