Sallie Sue Cooley

September 21, 1947 - October 27, 2019

Sallie Sue Cooley, 72, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for more than 20 years, formerly of Orange Park FL, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Cape Coral. She was born September 21, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA to David and Lillian Ludwig, now deceased.

Sallie was of the Jewish faith. She was a long time manager in the retail industry, most recently with Bells Outlets.  She loved to fish and truly enjoyed luncheons with groups of friends.  She enjoyed catching up with her grandsons and always wanted updates on their lives.  She was generous to those around her.  She will be remembered as someone who cared about her fellow man and will be missed by many.  Lastly, no one could cook a lasagna or matzo ball soup like she could!

She is survived by two loving children, Peter Levin (Collette) and Marc Levin, both of Tampa, FL; sister, Myra Filo (John) of Princeton, NJ; as well as three grandchildren, Nolen Levin, Jacob Levin, and Christian Levin.

No formal services are planned at this time.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

Peter & Marc, I’m so sorry for your loss.
I called sally momma sally. She was much like a mom to me, so loving and caring. Always fussed at me for working too much. She was an amazing woman and my family misses her dearly. Thoughts and prayers to you and your families. Christine

Steve and I have so many memories of Sallie, with David, and after he was gone. Parties out back on the dock, our multicouple anniversary cruise, out to eat so many times, holidays together, on and on. Then through the tough times of David’s illness. The most recent was spending Hurricane Irma together, not long after her lengthy hospitalization. What a crazy couple days that was! Sallie was special and we will think of her every time we drive past The Cape Royale.
