Sebastian Reyna Jr.

June 24, 1957 - August 10, 2020

Sebastian Reyna Jr., age 63, a resident of Cape Coral, Florida and McArthur, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at his residence. Sebastian (most knew him as Boonie and UB) was born June 24, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio to his wonderful late parents Sebastian Sr. and Elizabeth (Deoring) Reyna.

Boonie graduated from Central High School in Columbus, OH and gained employment with White Castle Systems / PSB Corporation where he was a retired supervisor of 38 ½ years. He was a hard worker and a dedicated employee to the White Castle family. He loved college football and watched every Ohio State (Buckeyes) game.  His NFL favorite was the Vikings but was upset with their continued losing streak, year after year. Boonie enjoyed motorcycle riding, golfing, camping, boating and wouldn’t say no to a beer when meeting up with friends or family. He was known for a great sense of humor and was a kind, loving and gentle soul.

His family was very important to him and enjoyed family gatherings. As his children and grandchildren were growing up, he really enjoyed all the T-ball games, wrestling matches, basketball games, baseball, golf, soccer, and ice hockey events. Also, something very important to Sebastian was his Christian faith. He turned his life over to Jesus Christ and rejoiced.

His final resting place will be at the Reyna Farm in Vinton County, Ohio.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Sharon Kay Reyna of Cape Coral, Florida; three loving children, Kylie (Mike) Salvadore of Sunbury, OH, Dustin (Jennifer) Reyna of Creola, OH, and Cody Reyna of Dublin, OH; as well as seven beautiful grandchildren Alexis, Aubree, Ava, Matteo, Geno, Charlotte and Benjamin; six  wonderful siblings, Frank Reyna of Newark, OH, Don (Jeri) Reyna of Dublin, OH, Terri (Elliott) McCoy of  Hendersonville, TN, Florence Dyer of Reynoldsburg, OH, Becky Waugh of Gahanna, OH, and Christina (Gary) Carter of Pataskala, OH; many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at a later date. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com

Memorial Contributions in memory of Sebastian Reyna, Jr. are suggested to any Diabetes foundation.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

My dear sweet husband. You are such a big part of me and will be with me forevermore. Thank you for always taking good care of me and creating our beautiful children, grandchildren and a wonderful, long life together. We are a blended family & love being the “extra Mom.” I worry about them & will forever love them all.

You have been my rock, an inspiration (more than you ever know) and taught me many things. as you have said the same to me. What an honor. We were two peas in a pod, that’s for sure. I will miss the deep love and respect we had for each other. Miss our laughs even when the chips were down.

You have suffered enough & deserve to be out of pain. I’m selfish and wanted you here with me. May the good Lord wrap his arms around you and have many family and friends in heaven rejoice as you live in your new house. God’s house.

Love you now and forever Boone Dog.

I’m very sad that my childhood friend has died… . Boonie and I were best friends during elementary school where we both lived in the old neighborhood on Neil Avenue & Hubbard Avenue. I met Boonie in 1961, and through elementary school I have great memories of him. In growing up we were best friends and the few pictures I have I cherish deeply. I remember the black GTO that he drove as a teen which he loved. Boonie loved to drive fast.
. I also remember his German shepherd name KING. . Rest in peace my old friend on 60 yrs.
