Sharon Beaudry Petit, age 77, of Cape Coral, Fl passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022, at her home with her family.  Sharon was born in Meriden, CT on February 1, 1945 and was the daughter to the late Robert Beaudry Sr and the late Teresa A. Beaudry of Meriden, Ct., and the widow of the late Richard A. Petit Sr.
Sharon is survived by her son Richard A. Petit Jr and his wife, Annette of Cape Coral FL, daughter, Michelle Petit Leon of Meriden, Ct, and son Bryan Petit and his wife, Kelly of Flagler Beach, FL.  She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, whom she adored from the day they were born, Jaime Petit and her wife, Danielle of Southington, Ct., Caiden Leon of Meriden, Ct and Emma Petit of Texas, her sister, Diana Kosienski of Meriden, Ct and brother Robert Beaudry of Camp Hill, PA.

Sharon is predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Richard Petit Sr. and her son, James Robert Petit.

Sharon attended Meriden schools and was a graduate of St. Raphaels School of Nursing.  Upon her finishing nursing school, she was an LPN for many years working at various hospitals, but she ended her career as Director of Adult Day Care for Bristol Hospital.  She loved her patients and their families and brought a great sense of wellbeing to her all clients.

Sharon was an avid crafter and quilter, making gifts for her family and friends made her happiest and she was always thinking about her next project.  She especially loved baking and cooking when her children and grandchildren were down to visit. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite holidays and it meant everything was made from scratch and she couldn’t wait to prepare the menu, which meant countless phone calls with her daughter Michelle.

Sharon also enjoyed watching the live stream of Wild Africa while working on her Ancestry chart which was another hobby, she did with her son Bryan.

If you knew Sharon, you knew she had a love for animals, which she passed down to all her children.  There wasn’t a time that Sharon did not have a dog or a cat or some other type of pet.

In lieu of flowers please donate to your local Human Society in memory of Sharon B. Petit.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

God bless Sharon. I have so many wonderful memories. Especially when I used to babysit for your kids while you and Ritchie worked. There were times that were stressful but now we used look back and laugh. I miss that walk down memory lane with you and my mom.
