Sidney C. Barlow

Sidney C. Barlow, 81, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 18 years, formerly of Dallas, TX, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in Cape Coral. He was born March 16, 1936 in England to Reginald and Mary Barlow, now deceased.

Sidney served in the British Army for two years and then served on Merchant Marine ships out of Liverpool, England for 5 years. He and Julia resided in the United States for 47 years in Iowa and Texas. Sid was an avid English Soccer fan following the Liverpool team and a true Dallas Cowboy fan. Sidney worked for and retired from Texas Instruments in Dallas for 25 years. After retirement Sid wanted to live near the water and they chose Cape Coral, where he and Julia lived for the past 18 years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Julia Barlow of Cape Coral; daughter, Carla Elizabeth Barlow of Cape Coral; three siblings, Barbara Clark of England, Ann Prowse (Terry) of England, and John Barlow (Ann) of England; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Sidney was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Louise Barlow in 2012.

Memorial Services will be held 12:00 Noon, Monday, November 27, 2017 at The Hope Hospice Chapel, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL 33909. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:30 AM until the time of service.
