Socorro Ledesma Garcia

September 29, 1921 - April 3, 2022

Socorro Ledesma Garcia, 100, a longtime resident of Lee County, FL, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, April 3, 2022 in Fort Myers, FL, surrounded by family. She was born on September 29, 1921 in Monterrey, Mexico to Hijino and Maria Ledesma, now deceased.

Socorro was of the catholic faith and was a member of Jesus the Worker. She will be remembered as a loving Mother and Grandmother to all who knew her, family and friends alike.

She is survived by her loving children, Maria Torres of Fort Myers, Pilar Garcia of Fort Myers, Elvira Garcia (Isreal) of Winter Haven, FL, Guadalupe Ojeda (Andres) of San Benito, Texas, Juanita Espino (Antonio) of Lehigh Acres, Patricia Sepulveda (Juan) of Fort Myers, Jose Garcia, Jr. (Susie) of Fort Myers, Josefina Garcia (Roberto) of Cape Coral, Francisca Garcia of Fort Myers, and Margarita Garcia (Juan) of Fort Myers; 50 grandchildren; 108 great grandchildren; as well as 87 great great grandchildren and two great great great grandchildren.

Socorro was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Garcia in 1989; three children, Josefina, Licha and Willie; as well as her four siblings.

A Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2022 at Jesus the Worker, 881 Nuna Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33905 with Father Jose del Olmo officiating. Burial to follow at Fort Myers City Cemetery, 3200 Michigan Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33916. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
