Sylvia Urbina

December 13, 1961 - June 1, 2021

Silvia Urbina, 59, a resident of Fort Myers, FL for the past 57 years, formerly of San Benito, TX, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in Fort Myers. She was born December 13, 1961 in San Benito, TX to Adan and Rosalinda Sanchez, now deceased.

Silvia was of the Catholic faith. She attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Jesus the worker Catholic Church in Fort Myers. Silvia had a infectious smile and laughter that would light up the room. She was a generous and hardworking mother of three and caregiver to hundreds of other children who passed through the daycare where she worked for 29 years. Deeply committed to her family, Silvia enjoyed spending time with her husband, siblings, children, grandchildren, cousins, and aunts. Silvia also liked sports and watching her children play was one of her favorite things to do.

She is survived by her beloved husband of over 15 years, Candelario Urbina; three loving children, Ashley Sanchez, Aurelio Bravo, Jr., and Ana Bravo (Braulio Gamero); four siblings, Velma Soto (Jimmy), Nicanor Sanchez (R.I.P), Adan Sanchez (Beverly), and Cynthia Salas (Jesus) of; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Ishley and Eliana Gamero; as well another grandchild on the way, Hailee Gamero; and many loving aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews, wonderful friends and coworkers.

A funeral mass is planned for Silvia at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 13031 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33905 on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10:00 AM. For everyone’s protection, masks are required to be worn by all during mass. If you do not have a mask, Silvia’s family will provide you with one. Afterward, family and friends are invited to celebrate Silvia’s life together at her family home at 2 PM. More information will be provided at mass.

    I have known Sylvia since our Childhood Days back at Billy bowlegs and through school where we shared the same classes. My heart goes out to the family and prayers for comfort and peace and strength during this time of loss. Grateful that she is not in pain anymore and is in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ

    Mrs sylvia i will be there to share my last moments with you nothing could replace me seeing u smile you giving me a hug everytime u see me and most of all how u took care of my children and loved them we miss u dearly and i wish u the best of karma my love in your next cycle we love you your energy always surrounds us until we meet again
