Terrence Michael Dye

November 19, 1947 - November 12, 2020

Terrence Michael Dye, 72, a resident of Cape Coral since 2008, formerly of Brighton, MI, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020 in Cape Coral.  He was born November 19, 1947 in Detroit, MI to Joseph and Florence Dye, now deceased. 

Terrence was of the Catholic faith.  After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Army and spent a majority of his time in Vietnam. Once home, his main focus was his children and his job as an electrician. His greatest accomplishments were his grandchildren followed by his many medals and awards received after Vietnam as a combat veteran.

He is survived by his two loving children, Michael Dye (Renee) of Punta Gorda and Step Daughter Michelle Millikan (Jeff) of Howell, MI; Stepmother, Polly Dye of CA; seven siblings, Sandy Erickson (John) of Northville, MI, Patricia Krajenke of Shelby Township, MI, David Kosturko of Farmington Hills, MI, Steve Kosturko of Redford, MI, Richard Kosturko of Farmington Hills, MI, Paul Kosturko (Angela) of Livonia, MI and Lori (Danny) Plotzke Royal Oak of MI; sixteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as Diane’s children, Marguerite Messenger (Robert) of Brighton, MI. 

Terrence was preceded in death by two children, Terrance “TJ” Joseph Dye and Kristi Ann-Renee Sutton as well as his long time Significant Other, Diane Tenaglia. 

A Time of Remembrance will be held 1:00 – 5:00pm, Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the Family Residence with Military Honors being presented at 1:00PM.

    I am in shock ! I am so sorry for your loss. I have know Terry for many years. He was such a good man, and he was always smiling. I will have many good memories of Terry. RIP

    You me and Dt spent 40 years together by the pool having fun. You were like family to me since mine were in California. I will always cherish the times we had together. And I always will remember you. You were a great friend. Everytime I hear blue moon I’ll think of you. RIP love you

    My deepest sympathies, Terry and I were best friends in Vietnam! He and I spoke recently of a get together after the election, we waited too long, God doesn’t tell us when or where! Gods speed Terry, I’ll never forget you😥😥😥

    I am shocked and saddened. Terry and I were good friends back in the day and still kept in contact after he and Diane moved to Florida. I had many good times with him and Diane. God bless you Terry!!!

    Terry was a competitor at bowling, and that smile you couldn’t miss that smile. He was everyone’s friend didnt have a mean bone in him
