Terri was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Huntington, WV until moving to West Palm Beach FL in 1986. In addition to her mother, Ellen Hess, survivors include her husband, Rudolf Haselbauer; a daughter, Brittani Haselbauer; a son, Rudi Haselbauer, Jr. (Savannah); three brothers, Ray M. Hess, Jr., Ron Hess (Becky), and Dana Hess (Heather); an aunt, Sandra Jordan; three nieces, Candice Borges (Jeff), Morgan Hensley (Patrick), and Payton Hess; four nephews, Jordan Wilkinson (Kayla), Jake Hess, Mason Hess, and Hunter Hess; two great nieces, Hope Borges and Harper Kate Hensley; one great nephew, Dillon Borges, and two cousins, Alan Hess (Jen), and Cheryl Hess Swan (Rich).

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mac and Virginia Jordan; paternal grandmother, Mary Hess; paternal grandfather, R.S. Hess; father, Ray M. Hess; and sister, Ruth Ann Wilkinson.

Due to COVID-19 no formal services are planned at this time.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

Whistling in the Wind

By Fredrick Buechner

When you remember me, it means that you have

Carried something of who I am with you, that

I have left some mark of who I am on who you are.

It means that you can summon me back to your mind

Even though countless years and miles may stand between us.

It means that if we meet again, you know me.

It means that even after I die, you can still see my face,

And hear my voice, and speak to me in your heart.

For as long as you remember me, I am never entirely lost.

    Dear Ellen and cousins,
My heart breaks for you. I wish I had gotten to Florida to see you, Ellen, and meet Terri. Terri —the woman I saw on those FaceBook pages — was so full of life and always surrounded by friends. When I take my sunset walks each evening, I will think of how much Terri enjoyed beautiful sunrise walks. I believe something that my father, Sam Selkirk, said to me has been passed down through the family. He always said, look at the moon, and you will remember me. I will look at sunrise and sunset and remember Terri’s lovely spirit.

    Dear Hess and Terri’s Family:

My heart is so heavy and sad over the death of Terri. I know how loved she was by her family and so so many friends. I will always remember her smile and infectious laugh. I will remember our times growing up in the Episcopal church together and going to Wednesday night family dinners at church during a lent. I know her death leaves a huge void in your family and an incredible sadness. I wish all of you strength during this time in knowing that she knew she was loved by all of you and that she loved all of you too. My prayers and love are with all of you during this sad time.

Thank you for donations made to Gifts of Hope was n memory of Terri. Terri’s sister Ruth Ann dreamed of a place like Hope House to house cancer patients receiving treatments here in Midland Texas. I was honored to know Ruth Ann and be apart of making that dream come true. I am sorry I didn’t know Terri but being a sister she would have been just as awesome. I am sorry about your loss.
