Terry Lynn Gouker
Terry Lynn Gouker, 75, a resident of Lee County for since 1991, formerly of Ft. Wayne, IN, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born March 16, 1946 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Marvin and Mary Gouker, now deceased.
Terry was of the Mennonite faith. He was proud to be an American and a life long Republican. Despite being born with a physical disability, Terry was determined to live life to the fullest and made the very best each and every day. Terry started his own flooring company in Ft. Wayne. After relocating to SW Florida, Terry then went into business with his son Chad (Terry Gouker & Son Tile) who will proudly carry on his Father’s legacy. Terry was a proud member of the Hot Chili Rods Car Club for over two decades. Terry was a member of St. Joe Athletic Club in Ft. Wayne. Terry and his quick wit and endless jokes will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his two loving children, Chad Gouker (Tabitha) of Ft. Myers and Kelly Gouker and her significant other, Francis Finch of Tampa; three siblings, Joyce Chaney, Judy Glen (James) and Dennis Gouker all of Ft. Wayne; five grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Kristin, Nicole, Aeril, Clinton and Hayden; four great grandchildren, Dallas, Raelyn, Gabriel and Jaiden; sister-in-law, Jan Gouker of Ft. Wayne; several nieces and nephews, Todd, Brian, Kirk, Dawn, Lori, Beth, Eric, Mark, Jeff, John and Julie; Tiler the dog, as well as, the grandcats, Osiris and Anubis.
Terry was preceded in death by his brother, Larry and a niece, Tina

We were saddened and surprised to hear of Terry’s passing. But then do any of us know when. We should follow his example of living life cheerfully and despite any obstacles life gives us. We should all live as he did; ready to stand before the Lord . We are glad we had a chance to share his friendship. Be at peace Terry.
Street Rodder, Dog lover (Tyler), friend to many, debater on current events, sports fan. You will well be remembered beyond death. We imagine your name and memories will come at up at many car shows and cruises.

Shocked and saddened when we learned of Terry’s passing. Always in good spirits, smiling, telling jokes, and loving life. A proud and passionate American who really loved the USA. Loved by everyone who knew him. We need more like Terry in this world. He will be sorely missed.
