Theresa Faye Baucom

November 17, 1955 - August 18, 2019

Theresa Faye Baucom, 63, a lifelong resident of Lee County, FL, was called home to heaven to join her son, Danny and her parents on Sunday, August 18, 2019 in Fort Myers, FL. She was born November 17, 1955 in Fort Myers to Jerry and Erma Baucom, now deceased.

Theresa was of the Baptist faith and an avid believer in heaven. Through the years Theresa worked at a few different places but most enjoyed working at the Plant Nursery and making medical supplies right up until the day the company moved its operations somewhere else. Theresa’s hard work ethic was taught to her by her daddy, who was also her best friend. Losing him left an empty spot in her heart as he was one fine man. She grew up helping her daddy care for the animals and was the definition of selfless, later on in life she would go on help to care for her mother. Theresa didn’t have a mean bone in her body and never wished ill-will towards anyone. Theresa once loved dancing and never stopped loving music, one of her favorite songs was The Shake. Theresa loved movies, with her favorite movie being Coal Miners daughter she enjoyed going with her kids to watch bull riding and loved talking on the phone. Words can’t describe the love and respect everyone who knew her, had for her. She was a very special and one of a kind mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was known for helping anyone and everyone. She had a loving and forgiving heart and it was normal for her to feed and take in anyone who needed it. She was often referred as someone who would give you the shirt off her back. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a country music fan and enjoyed many Neil McCoy concerts with her daughters. Theresa spent her life devoted to her parents, children, grandchildren, and husband, she was the kind of grandma every kid wishes they could have. As one granddaughter stated, A world without grandma in it, isn’t a world at all. One of her happiest moments was meeting her great granddaughter for the first time. Theresa was a fierce fighter and an exceptionally strong woman enduring more heartache than most could handle but she never let it knock her down she kept on fighting. She loved her family beyond measure as they loved her. The impact of Theresa’s passing is heartbreaking for her kids, grandkids, and, to all who knew and loved her. She had an amazing smile that could light up the room and the warmest most caring eyes. She will be missed by all, especially her children and grandchildren; but she will never be forgotten. Her spirit and love will live forever in all whom she touched. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by three loving children, Carl Whited of North Fort Myers, FL, Christina Conant (Robert) of Punta Gorda, FL, and Debbie Carroll (Michael) of North Port, FL; three siblings, Debbie Brown (John) of AL, Jerry Dean Baucom of North Fort Myers, and Ronnie Baucom of Fort Myers; ten grandchildren, Ryan, Emilie, Shelby, Daniella, Presley, Abbigail, Ellie, Lane, Chelsea, and one on the way; one great grandchild, Adisyn; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Theresa was preceded in death by a son, Danny Whited.
