Timothy Hillary O’Hara

July 21, 1952 - March 15, 2022

Timothy Hillary O’Hara lost his fierce battle with Dementia March 15th, 2022. He was born July 21st, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN and spent most of his years living in Bonney Lake, WA. It was there he worked for Boeing and raised his family later retiring to Cape Coral, FL. Tim was also a well-respected soccer referee for over 20 years.

Timothy O’Hara is survived by his wife, Patricia; his son, Michael, his daughter, Hillary (Jeff); his grandchildren, Payton and Patrick; his sisters, Susie and Kathy (Melvin); and several nieces and nephews.

Tim joins his son, Patrick; granddaughter, Zoe; mother, Delaine; and brother, Mike awaiting him in heaven.

He will always be remembered for his strength, integrity, humor, sarcasm and his hilarious t-shirts that inspired laughter (and disgust) everywhere he went. Tim is often referred to as a hero by his children as he taught them through example and expression with his endless support. His and Patty’s love is infinite, and they spent 48 wonderful years married. He would say to everyone “Shut Up!” and “Quit Crying!” We will miss you always Mr. Referee, Dad, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Love, and Hero.

We watch him drift away like the sun setting into the horizon during sunset—only he won’t make tomorrows sunrise. We soak in terrifying talk from doctors while the television is singing Kenny Chesney’s country hum. We know we’ll see him again someday but why must we lose him?

–Payton Julia

Some people don’t believe in heroes. But they haven’t met my Dad!

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and time to dance…

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4

Memorial Contributions in memory of Timothy Hillary O’Hara are suggested to Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.

Oh Tim my brother, I’ll miss you so much. This is horrible to all and especially for you. All our vacations that we haven’t went on yet together with Melvin & Patty, what are we going to do? The laughs in Reno (the fucking chair) Patty holding up the wall thinking our airline number is your room number. Cruise to Bahamas, Vegas watching all the wacky people drinking to many footballs. Key West, Fort Lauderdale, Seahawks games, Lazy rivers getting mad at Blackjack table (because you didn’t like to lose) we weren’t done. Love you, you won’t be forgotten. Your sitter Kathy

Patty you and Tim had a great life. His shirts were the funniest even when you didn’t think so. I am sure he will watch over you forever and tell you how to bowl. I wish you all peace in these days when it’s so hard to laugh. One day it will be easier to remember and laugh and see him not suffering from that terrible disease that takes away the ability to be the person that you were

Nothing but great memories of this loving man. Have know him since high school where all the prettiest girls had a crush on him, but Patty stole his heart! Watched him raise their children and learn to be the best dad he could be. He loved his family and worked hard to give them unconditional love! His smile was killer and his personality was delightful! Tim will be greatly missed and never forgotten by those that loved him😘😘😘

Prayers and love to all all family and love ones. Linda and I are blessed to shared many years and great times with you. Thanks for allowing me to coach Hillary and to get to know the boys. I will always remember you volunteering to teach my girls teams the soccer rules and how respected you were as a referee. God Bless.

Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting Tim. Patty holds a very special place in my heart for all the love & care giving she gave to my mother during her time at Franklin house. I loved seeing all the posts on Facebook of their love for one another. R.I.P. Tim
    Hug’s to Patty & the family!✝️

What an awesome guy Tim was. He was great to referee with and will never forget what he did. Yes, his T-shirts were funny

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Tim. He was a terrific guy. And had a great sense of humor. We always looked forward to seeing him, to see what funny t-shirt he would have on next. He loved his hot rods and his family very much! Not to mention his margaritas with salt. 😂 May Tim rest in peace! 🤗Janet and Rick ❤️

Tim will always be remembered in my house – as Patty for all the wonderful great times we enjoyed – usually around a soccer field someplace! Tim’s biting sense of humor and quick wit kept us all shaking our heads – he needed no encouragement! I loved those blue twinkling eyes, charming grin. I am sooo glad that you guys got to move to Florida and enjoy some time quality together. Memories! Holding you close. Cindy
