Todd William Ryan

March 30, 1967 - April 28, 2022

Todd William Ryan, 55, a resident of Cape Coral, FL, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022. He was born March 30, 1967 in Butte, Montana, youngest of eight children.

He found his paradise in Florida as well as his love John D. Pope. He dedicated his life to being a staunch advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, where he worked for thirty-five years. In addition to his career, his vocation was taking care of those he loved and providing them with whatever support he felt was needed. He was a world traveler and was a huge supporter of the performing arts. He was a master storyteller and could weave a story to entertain with his wit and humor. His laughter was infectious. There were instances that could only happen to Todd and his retelling of those events provided those lucky enough to hear them with hours of entertainment, whether hearing the story for the first time or the tenth time.

He is survived by a multitude of people and his cats Liam and Linus.

He is preceded in death by his husband John.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916. A reception will follow from 2:00 PM till 4:00 PM in the Mullins Memorial’s Celebration Center.

Todd was an adamant animal lover, therefore in lieu of flowers, please donate in Todd’s name to the ASPCA, local animal shelter, or animal care facility of your choice.

    me forever. I already miss calling you, only to hear you say” God speaking how can I help”. Your humor, your
